The search for a new venue still goes on. The hall at Hasting High School, it would seem, is no larger than the hall we are presently in, so we are still looking around. If you know of a large hall that would suit us please let us know, email Tom on tomwasteney@hotmail.com.
The sponsored endurance race for Children in Need was extremely well represented, with 8 teams competing (4 drivers in each team). Racing was fraught but close with a total of over 400 laps accumulated over the one and half hour race duration. Most members had collected a good amount of sponsorship, with a couple of the young members collecting over £100 each! The total on the evening was just over £630, so thank you if you participated.
MERCC are proud to be holding a sponsored endurance race with all the funds going to the BBC’s Children in Need. The race will be held on 15th November with the doors opening at 7pm, all are welcome. 06/09/2007 Important information for Mardave 7 drivers. The club has had further contact from the BRCA who have looked at the front of the Mardave 7 and have agreed that there is no cause for concern. There will be NO need to modify the chassis of the Mardave 7 in anyway. If you have already cut the front of your chassis off, please ensure there are no sharp edges. For confirmation of this ruling please see Matt or Steve Chambers on race night. Click here to go to the new ‘7’ page.

18/01/2007 Congratulations Zak! Zak was announced the "most improved member" for the 2006 season. Only starting twelve months ago racing Mardave V12's, Zak was voted by the committee to win the award. Due to a mix-up in the dates this should have been announced at the AGM.
12/01/2007 The AGM held on the 11th January had several new motions passed, the first being the stock class voted overwhelmingly to race with 19 turn motors instead of the stock 27. Secondly Malc has retired his post of treasurer after 19 years. The role of treasurer now falls on Tom shoulders as well as being re-elected as club secretary.
