Mardave Super 7

This new Mardave uses the all the same components as the V12, but with a different chassis, and of course a new body. So if you want the ‘7’ and have a spare V12 lying around and want this new model on the cheap, just order the chassis, body, visit B&Q or the like for a door handle for the roll bar, and bingo your sorted!
The chassis is a little shorter than the V12 giving the ‘7’ a shorter wheel base making it a little more agile, however it’s a bit of a squeeze for the electrics. If you have bought the kit and are planning to use the included battery tray you will have to mount the receiver on top of the servo, but make sure it doesn’t sit too high as the body shell is really low. Keeping the motor cool can be a problem as there is limited room for a large heat sink as most too tall to fit under the sleek body. Click here for a simple solution. The set-up pages for the V12, here, still apply to the ‘7’, just as long as they don’t break the following rules.
To keep the competition tight and the racing fair the committee have decided on the following rules:
The kit must be “out of the box” standard, including: -tyres V54P ‘Pinks’ only -motor, G1 or G2 -spare wheel on the back must be fitted -front wings must be fitted -roll bar must be fitted
The only modifications allowed are: -flipped ‘A’ arms -spacer(s) under the front mounting point of the ‘A’ arm only -up-rated steering track rods and ball cups -up-rated servo saver (i.e. Kimborough) -ball races on the rear axle
You may fit any pinion and spur gear combination, and the choice of electrics and cells is yours, as long as you can fit them in!
Hopefully keeping the cars to “out of the box” standard will give some real close and competitive racing!
